Due to continued expansion and development, we have a Quantity Surveyor role based at our Maynooth head office.

The candidate will have the opportunity to join a mid-size progressive Main Building Contractor completing a variety of roles within the company. You will liaise closely with the Commercial Manager & Site Management to achieve successful cost management outcomes. You will have responsibility for the cost management of projects on a diverse range of multi million euro projects in a growing organisation.

 Roles and Responsibilities:
 
 New tender assessment and evaluation.
 Analysis of costings for tenders and preparation of tender documentation. 

Project Procurement including issuing tender packages, evaluation of subcontract costs, value engineering, negotiation and placing of subcontract packages in line with the cost and contract programmes.

Change order management-identify changes, assessment of cost implications and agreement of change orders.

Valuations-remeasurement-final accounts.

Pre tender estimating-the candidate will be encouraged to gain projects for the company alongside the Commercial Manager through active estimation.


 Qualifications:
 The successful candidate should hold a degree in Quantity Surveying/Construction Economics.
 Have a minimum of 4 years experience as a Quantity Surveyor. Experience in a building environment would be an advantage.

 Skills:

 The candidate should be able to work independently and also in a team environment.

 Ability to estimate new tenders.

 Ability to agree final accounts and negotiate with subcontractors.
